for checkers and gossip. Visitors may even become store clerks, weighing products,
wrapping up merchandise or sorting mail.
History of General Store
About the building itself: Originally located on Wolf Street in
Dallas, this General Store was built and operated by Albert F. Mueller, a
Jewish immigrant from Germany. This one-room, frame building with a flat roof
and squared off facade is typical of many store buildings in the region at the
turn of the century.
