General Store News

Become a Shopkeeper's Assistant or just do a little shopping in our re-designed, family friendly General Store. Examine the merchandise or gather round the stove for checkers and gossip. Visitors may even become store clerks, weighing products, wrapping up merchandise or sorting mail.

History of General Store

About the building itself: Originally located on Wolf Street in Dallas, this General Store was built and operated by Albert F. Mueller, a Jewish immigrant from Germany. This one-room, frame building with a flat roof and squared off facade is typical of many store buildings in the region at the turn of the century.
