Take a look into the past by experiencing tales from some of the area’s best storytellers, Dallas Storytelling Guild. Students and teachers will be placed in groups on a set storytelling schedule. All are welcome to self-tour the Village before or after.

Candlelight History Hunts

Tuesday - Thursday, September - December, February - May

Cost: $6 per student, $8 per adult

Limit 40 students and 8 teachers/chaperones per day

This tour must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.


With a two-hour, private docent-guided tour, your students explore the stories of the people who made Texas home. Learn why the Millers chose to build a life in Dallas before the Civil War. See how Daniel Sullivan’s home reflected the new opportunities at the turn-of-the-last century. Discover the challenges Tejano and African-American families faced as Dallas grew into the city it is today.

Payment & Cancellation

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due within 10 days of booking. Payment in full is prior to the program. Cancellation requests must be made at least one month prior to the program.
